MY MEDIA
In partnership with St Basil’s, we have successfully delivered a series of multi-media arts projects that enabled young people to address homelessness and its related issues, by using cutting edge multimedia equipment and training techniques as the delivery vehicle.  Funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and administered through Mediabox, the ‘My Media’ programme successfully delivered to 88 young people across greater Birmingham, all of who have either experienced, or are at risk of homelessness. The overall aims of the project were to allow more young peoples’ voices to be heard through the media, give young people skills in high quality media production, and allow young people to be creative. SANDWELL SOUND

Dynamics Community Arts are developing a community radio station ‘Sandwell Sound’.  As well as offering a radio station that will address local issues in-depth it will also encourage social inclusion and provide access to training, development and volunteering opportunities.  These advantages will be invaluable to the regeneration area of Sandwell and assist the region in its efforts to overcome the economic and social deprivation it has historically suffered.

COMMUNITY ACTION PROJECT (CAP)
Plans are underway for Dynamics Community Arts to equip and produce a programme of activities for a radio training studio and multi-media suite at The CAP project in Smethwick, to expand their neighbourhood engagement and provide personal and professional development for isolated young people in the area.

PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT

We are supporting a young photographer in building an exciting project that explores classical ballet and contemporary street dancers’ methods and their differing use of space.  A young film-maker will document the process and the resulting piece will be screened by Channel 4.  Dynamics Community Arts are wholly committed to developing their artists to help them fully realise their professional potential.  We are delighted to be involved in this venture and are hoping to facilitate an exhibition of the consequent work.
